Resolution No.(42): "Circulating a Copy of the Mus-haf with the Phrase "Al-Quran Shariat Al-Mojtama`" on its Cover"

Date: 13/9/1419 AH, corresponding to 31/12/1998

 

The Board has received the following question:

What is the ruling of Sharia on a Mu-Shaf that has the phrase "Al-Quran Shariat Al-Mojtama`" (The Quran is the Law of the society) on its cover, and is it permissible to circulate it amongst people?

Answer: All prefect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

The Board is of the view that it isn`t permissible to inscribe any phrase that limits the Noble Quran and its message to a certain point, or attribute, such as the one given in the above question.

Therefore, it is imperative to reprint new covers for such copies since it is impermissible to circulate them while holding the above phrase. And Allah Knows Best.

Should the Zakah (obligatory charity) giver tell the poor recipient that this is the Zakah of his money?

No, he shouldn`t. But, the Zakah giver should make an intention in his heart that it is the Zakah of his money when paying it to the poor. And Allah Knows Best.

I wish to Pray at the Mosque, but I couldn't because I am a Woman. How can I get such a Reward?

All perfect praise be to Allah The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Abdullah Ibn Masood (May Allah be Pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Her prayer inside her home is better than its courtyard, and her prayer in her own bedroom is better than inside her home." [Abu Dawood]. Her staying at home, and not going to the mosque in obedience to Allah`s injunctions entails a great reward similar to that bestowed on a man for going to the mosque since the Mercy and Blessings of Allah Prevails. Both the mother and the wife have rights on you (Questioner); therefore, you are obliged to treat both justly, resort to wisdom to please both and intiate reestablishing cordial relations among them. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible to pay the Fitr Zakah (obligatory charity) of Ramadan on behalf of a dead person?

The Fitr Zakah of Ramadhaan isn`t due on one who had passed away before the sunset of the last day of Ramadan. And Allah Knows Best.
