It is impermissible to combine and shorten prayers at home before traveling because a person is called a traveler once he/she departs the borders of his/her country, and offering prayer that way was originally intended to exempt a traveler. And Allah Knows Best.

If the total duration of these blood-tinged discharges reaches a day and a night (24 hours) or more, it is considered menstruation. One of the conditions for tayammum is that it be with pure, clean dust (soil). It is not valid to perform tayammum by striking stones, a wall, sand that has no dust (i.e., that does not produce dust), pebbles alone, or clay, as these are not from the earth or its same category. However, it is permissible to pay fidyah for a single day in advance, by analogy with paying zakat up to one year in advance.
