Resolution No.(43): "Ruling on the Amendments of the Islamic International Arab Bank`s Articles of Association and Statute Regualtions"

Date: 25/7/1420 AH, corresponding to 13/11/1999

We have received the following question:

Do the certificate of incorporation and the statute of the Islamic International Arab bank comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia?

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

Answer: The Board has decided to approve the amendments indicated in the above letter, and which comply with the rulings of Islamic Sharia, provided that paragraph (D) of article (28) is rewritten to read as follows:

Paragraph (D) The other precautions:

Any percentage of the profits based on the suggestion of the administrative board and the approval of the general authority in favor of any other precautions, regardless of their name or purpose, in the best interest of the company and its course of business, provided that this deduction is made after that of the income tax. Talking to one's fiancée in Ramadan with romantic talk may lead to arousal, and if pre-ejaculate fluid (Madhy) is discharged as a result, it does not break the fast. However, it is advised to avoid actions that provoke desire and lead to this outcome. If semen (Mani) is discharged as a result, it does break the fast.
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

 

The discharge of Madhy doesn't invalidate one's fasting but it invalidates the ablution and his clothes must be washed because they are impure in this case. As for Mani, it breaks one's fast and making up invalidataed  is obligatory, beside; a Muslim suitor should abstain from these matters during Ramadan and not to degrade the holy month to this extent. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible to trim the eyebrows if they become excessively long?

Trimming eyebrows is permissible if they become excessively long, yet; it is reprehensible. And Allah Knows Best.

Is the prayer of someone who didn`t face Quibla (Ka`ba direction) valid?

All perfect praise be to Allah,The Lord of The Worlds.                                                                                                                                                              Facing the Quibla is a condition for the validity of prayer, and the prayer of the person who hadn`t faced the direction of the Quibla is invalid, and he is obliged to repeat it. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the ruling on uncovering the eyes while wearing a Khimar?

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
According to Sharia, a woman`s clothing shouldn`t be attractive so as to prevent sedition. However, it is better for a woman to be on the safe side and avoid such clothes. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
