Resolution No.(112): “Ruling on Giving Bonuses to the Employees of the Awqaf(Endowments) Funds Development Foundation from the Net Income of Waqf Estates“

Resolution No.(112): “Giving Bonuses to the Employees of the Awqaf (Endowments) Funds Development Foundation from the Net Income of Waqf Estates“

Date: 23/7/1427 AH, corresponding to 17/8/2006 AD.

 

The Board received the following question:
What is the ruling of Islamic Sharia regarding the profits yielding from operating the savings bank`s funds of the staff of the Jordan Potash Company at Jordan Export and Finance Bank and Jordan Insurance Company?
Answer: All success is due to Allah
The Board is of the view that the aforementioned profits are unlawful, for Allah The Almighty Says in the Noble Quran (what means): “If ye do it not, Take notice of war from God and His Apostle: But if ye turn back, ye shall have your capital sums: Deal not unjustly, and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly.“ {Al-Baqarah/279}. Therefore, they should be disbursed in favor of the poor, the needy, and public interest. And Allah Knows Best.

Is it permissible to single out Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to make up for missed fasting without fasting a day before ,or after each ?

Yes, it is permissible to make up for missed fasting during the aforesaid days, and it is also valid to offer non-obligatory and vowed fasting as well. However, fasting a day before or after each isn`t obligatory. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the ruling on eating the food prepared by Christians friends knowing that their income comes from trading in alcoholic drinks?

Praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
It isn`t allowed to have the food of the person whose source of income is unlawful. However, if it is a mixture of lawful and unlawful, then it is permissible to have their food. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

 
Islamic creed is a comprehensive creed, and if there is any defect, the creed of the individual or group is not correct. Is the creed of the Sufis correct or not?

Sufism is the practice of applying knowledge; this is how Al-Imam Al-Sha'rani defined it. If some among them have deviations in creed, it is not permissible to generalize this to all Sufis, as there are those among them who are acknowledged by all scholars for their knowledge and virtue. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.

What is the ruling on looking at pictures of naked women via the internet?

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.
It is impermissible to look at pictures of naked women via the internet, and this act is forbidden according to Sharia. The proof of this is that Almighty Allah Says (What means): "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And God is well acquainted with all that they do." [An-Nur/30]. Therefore, we advise you to busy yourself with offering acts of obedience that draw you closer to Allah and prepare yourself for meeting Him on The Day of Judgment. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
