Statement on the so-Called "Deal of the Century"

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His blessings and peace be upon Prophet Mohammad, all his kin and companions.

The General Iftaa` Department censures and rejects the so-called "Deal of the Century" and affirms that Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine and that the Hashemite custodianship over it is amongst the non-negotiable, religious and national principles. It also affirms the right of the Palestinians to live on their national territory and that none has the right to surrender a bit of sand from the land of Palestine. Jordan will continue to defend Jerusalem, its holy sites and the blessed land of Palestine, and this is the position of all Jordanians led by His Majesty King Abdullah II. Allah Says (What means): "And God hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not." [Yousef/21].

You are permitted to perform Umrah. Strive to repay the debt in hopes of reducing the amount of usurious interest. Allah Says (What means): "And there are others who have acknowledged their sins. I used artificial nails on my wedding night, but I was surprised to find out that they require at least a week to remove. However, I performed all my prayers during that period. What is the ruling on those prayers?
 

If these nails prevent water from reaching one's skin then your prayer are invalid and obliged to redo all of them. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the ruling on the unification of Adhan?

In addition, any Masjid that doesn’t have a Mua'than (The person who calls for prayers) and doesn`t raise the Adhan misses the reward of this great act. This is because Adhan should be raised for every group of people. However, the unified Adhan should be called in one Masjid and heard through all other Masjids. And Allah Knows Best.

What is the amount of Zakah (obligatory charity) due on articles of merchandise?

The amount of Zakah due on articles of merchandise is (2.5%) of each article`s value after a whole lunar year had lapsed.
