Subject : Ruling on a Product Suspected to Contain Mockery of Allah, may He be Exalted.

Question :

What is the ruling of Sharia on imported shoes suspected for containing mockery of the word "Allah"?


The Answer :

All perfect praise be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds. May His peace and blessings be upon Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

 

After a careful examination of the above product by a specialized committee of Muftis, it was found out the word "Allah", may He be exalted, is clearly inscribed on the bottom.

Consequently, it is forbidden to import, sell or promote this product. We (Iftaa` Department) advise traders not to import such products, which insult Islam and hurt the feelings of the Muslims. And Allah The Almighty Knows Best.
