Question :

What is the ruling on subscribing to Hajj (Pilgrimage) Fund of Jordan?


The Answer :

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all of his family and companions.

After the Iftaa` Committee, of the Iftaa` Department, had studied the Hajj Fund`s system No.(35)/(2010) , they decided that it is in line with the rulings of Sharia and adheres to its restrictions in a successful manner which guarantees achieving the Fund's objectives.

Therefore, the Committee bless such efforts and encourage people to seek the reward from Allah, The Almighty when subscribing to it, since the person who seeks the approval to perform Hajj is going to receive a great reward, because the Prophet (PBUH) called minor Hajj and major Hajj " Jihad without a fight", as stated in [Musnad Al-Imam Ahmad].

In conclusion, the Sharia Supervisory Committee that runs the Fund, are obliged to take responsibility for applying the aforementioned restrictions while concluding all kinds of transactions. And Allah The Almighty knows best.
