I have been married for two years. I have a six-month old baby boy. I have a job and help my husband pay back debts that accumulated from the time of our marriage. I also help him cover other expenses. The problem is that my mother-in-law started asking my husband to pay for her utility bills. Not long ago, she asked him to cover the expenses of her trip to the city of Aqaba. Now, she is asking for money to pay for Umrah expenses knowing that she performs Umrah every year. Moreover, her husband or my father in law works abroad and sends her a salary. She also has an unmarried son who works too. Another thing I would like to add is that my salary is higher than my husband`s and my family gives me money from time to time. From an Islamic perspective, is my husband obliged to pay all these amounts?
