Question :

We are a number of partners who wish to inaugurate an Islamic kindergarten, but we have differed as to the permissibility of using the following slogan, "From Mosque to Heaven". Does Islamic Sharia ban such a logo?

The Answer :

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of The Worlds, and may his blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Mohammad and upon all his family and companions.

Using a certain logo as a promotional tool is lawful so long as it doesn`t violate Sharia. Moreover, it is imperative that the person who launches the logo to be sincere in delivering its message, and not to employ it as a means for deceiving others.

As far as the logo mentioned in the above question is concerned, it doesn`t violate Sharia; on the contrary, it should be adopted by every Muslim since it promotes prayer which is the backbone of the Islamic faith as well as encourages working hard so as to enter Heaven which is the ultimate aim of every Muslim.

In conclusion, Sharia doesn`t ban the above logo; however, we don`t recommend using it for fear that those who have launched it may fail to deliver its message, and Allah, The Exalted, says: " Therefore justify not yourselves: He knows best who it is that guards against evil."{An-Najm/32}. And Allah knows best.
